World Food Program (WFP) has extended its assistance to Bhutan till 2018 although it was supposed to end by December this year. The program has been feeding 220 schools around Bhutan, mostly in rural pockets. The country’s economic situation besides projections of how it would fare once its hydropower projects start operating has convinced WFP to continue till 2018.
