Japanese embassy to open in Thimphu by next April

The Chairman of the Standing Committee of Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives from Japan, Katsuyuki Kawai, proposed to open their embassy in Thimphu by April next year. The Chairman said both countries could thus develop their relationship in terms of friendship, economy, culture and tourism. This is a first time visit for the House of Representatives of Japan to a foreign country. The delegation comprised of nine members.
